Who we are

Blue Sky Filtration is a specialist commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning company operating out of Melbourne. We're not a general cleaning contractor who also does canopies — kitchen exhaust systems are the whole business, and that focus is why our technicians work faster, spot problems earlier, and get systems back to a compliant standard that generalists often can't reach.

We service the full state of Victoria, from Melbourne CBD out to Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton and Warrnambool, plus border communities in New South Wales, South Australia and the ACT. Travel to regional sites is routine for us, and we schedule regional work in runs so it stays affordable.

What we actually do on site

A proper kitchen exhaust clean is more involved than most operators expect. It covers the canopy and hood, the grease baffle filters, the accessible ductwork — internal and external — and the exhaust fan itself. Miss any one of those and the system isn't compliant, and a certificate can't be issued.

Canopy & hood

Degreased back toward bare metal wherever the age and condition of the system allows.

Grease baffle filters

Cleaned or exchanged for clean units, depending on your service arrangement.

Ductwork

Internal and external runs, including risers where anchor point certification allows.

Exhaust fan

Housing, impeller and surrounds — often the dirtiest part of the whole system.

Every job is photographed before and after, and the documentation goes to you along with your compliance certificate. That record is what your insurer and your council want to see.

How we work

  • We work around your trading hours. After-hours and weekend service is standard, not an exception. Kitchens shouldn't lose service time for a clean.
  • We tell you what you actually need. If your system doesn't need doing yet, we'll say so. Selling an unnecessary clean costs us a long-term client.
  • We don't do work we're not qualified for. If we find mechanical or electrical faults in your system, we report them to you rather than attempting repairs.
  • Multi-site clients get one point of contact. Groups running several venues get a dedicated contact and consolidated service records rather than chasing individual jobs.

Insurance, safety and compliance

All work is carried out by trained technicians under full public liability insurance, to AS/NZS 1851-2012 — the Australian standard governing routine service of fire protection systems and equipment.
  • Documented safe work method statements and hazard registers for every job type.
  • Working-at-heights and confined-space procedures for roof plant and duct riser access.
  • Compliance certificates issued on completion of a full system clean.
  • Service records maintained so your history is available when an inspector asks.
